In a report “LandGlass – the Energy Conservation Star in Glass Processing Industry”, China Building Materials Daily (June 3, 2014) introduced how LandGlass by adhering to the concept of making high-end glass equipment, successfully developed “JetConvection Glass Tempering Furnace” after years of continuous R&D endeavor. The technology with independent intellectual property rights solved the world class problem on radiant heat emission with Low-E glass, allowing Low-E glass to be used widely in building windows and doors. It offers tremendous social benefit by greatly improving energy performance of buildings. The report reads as follows:

“Energy efficiency” is nowadays the key word when people discuss about the future trend of glass processing industry. Continuous innovation has given a powerful impetus to the enterprises in the race for industrial leadership. At present, the glass processing industry in China has grown considerably, with noticeable increase of verity and improvement in quality. In addition to meeting domestic market demand, they are also exported in large quantity to overseas market.

One by one, many manufacturers have come up with new equipment and new products, offering diversified choices in environment friendly products to wide range of downstream users in glass industry and making their own contributions for the growth of the glass processing industry. The trend will certainly shape the future of this industry.

With its excellent thermal insulation and light transmission rate, low-e glass is already playing a key role in the energy-conservation products offered by many glass processing companies. To become safety glass, low-e glass must go through the tempering process where various technical difficulties are expected. How to build high quality glass tempering equipment for low-e glass has been a challenge for every enterprise in the glass processing industry.

As the high-tech company specialized in R&D, design, manufacturing, and sales of glass tempering equipment, products independently developed by LandGlass including combined tempering furnace, bi-directional furnace, and continuous tempering furnace have placed the company not only in a leading position in China, but also dominated the high-end glass tempering equipment market worldwide. These products are exported to the United States, Germany, France, Australia, and other developed countries, helping LandGlass to expand its global market share. The achievements are the direct result of years of LandGlass’ ever-growing R&D efforts in new products and new technologies.

Adhering to the concept of making high-end glass equipment, the company has invested consistently in the field of science and technology research. After its relentlessly pursuing, LandGlass successfully solved this worldwide problem by its relentlessly pursuing developing the “JetConvection glass tempering furnace” with independent intellectual property rights. Through PCT, the patent of this technology was also granted in US in 2010.
Currently, LandGlass’ jet convection heating technology has become the mainstream technology and impelled the overall technological advancement in the industry. Following the winning of 14th Patent Gold Award in 2012 - an award representing the highest honor for technology innovation in China, LandGlass won the award again in November of 2013 with its “JetConvection Glass Tempering Furnace”, an unprecedented achievement in Chinese glass industry.
“JetConvection Glass Heating Furnace” adopts forced convection heating technology, creating flexible blowing modes by adjusting work frequency of the convection unit and variable frequency circulation heating blowers placed on the top and bottom positions inside the chamber to allow even heating application on both sides of the glass simultaneously. As a result, product quality gets enhanced significantly.

Junwu Chen, academician of Chinese Academy of Science said that JetConvection Glass Heating Furnace had fundamentally solved the tempering problem with low-e glass and improved the productivity by 20%, allowing Low-E glass to be used widely in building windows and doors. It offers tremendous social benefit by greatly enhancing energy performance of buildings.

At the 25th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition, LandGlass also introduced its newest advanced tempering equipment – variable curvature glass tempering furnace. This variable curvature glass bending equipment is capable of making products with unique shapes. While adding more flexibility to architectural design, it also calls for higher precision of the processing equipment.
